CHRIST University Students Begin International Semester in Berlin
Around 50 students from CHRIST University in Bangalore began their semester at Steinbeis University – Schools of Next Practices on 14 September 2026, marking the latest chapter in the universities’ dual-degree partnership.
Steinbeis University – Schools of Next Practices welcomed a new cohort of students from CHRIST University to Berlin on 14 September 2026. The group of approximately 50 students is studying the MA in Business and Organizational Psychology with a specialization in Human Resources.
The students are spending one semester in Berlin as part of a double-degree agreement between the two universities. Through this partnership, participating students work toward earning one degree from Steinbeis University – Schools of Next Practices and another from CHRIST University. The program combines the academic strengths of both institutions while giving students the opportunity to study in an international environment.
The first day began with a welcome and introductory session featuring Prof. Dr. Mario Vaupel, CEO of Steinbeis University – Schools of Next Practices, and Dr. Stela Dhima, Program Director of the MA in Business and Organizational Psychology. Together, they welcomed the students to the university and introduced them to their academic experience, the program environment, and life in Berlin.
Following the introduction, the students took part in a guided tour of the German capital. Their first encounters with the city included several of Berlin’s best-known historical and cultural landmarks: the Memorial to the Murdered Jews of Europe, the Brandenburg Gate, and Museum Island.
The tour gave the students an opportunity to begin exploring Berlin beyond the classroom while learning more about the historical setting in which they will live and study. This combination of academic learning and cultural immersion is an important part of their international semester.
During their time in Berlin, the students will gain new academic perspectives, experience a different cultural and educational environment, and build connections with an international university community. For future HR and organizational psychology professionals, studying abroad also offers valuable exposure to different workplaces, institutions, and approaches to collaboration.
The arrival of the CHRIST University cohort reflects the continuing commitment of Steinbeis University – Schools of Next Practices to international education and meaningful academic partnerships as well as enhancing student and lecturer mobility.
